I think there's just a lot of really bad drivers on this board. Yes, the Z does have a tendency to hop, but with a competent driver, you can eliminate it. I heard people tell me that it's hard to run 13's with the Z, and a stage 3 Z runs mid 13's. I ran a 13.0 @107 on street tires, smooth launch, tires slipping slightly, 10 year old car, 5-speed, with stock subframe bushings, no wheelhop. 2.0 60 foot time. My car will want to break loose halfway through first gear, but the gas pedal is movable, you don't have to keep it floored. You let off a little so you can keep accelerating instead of losing all traction halfway through 1st. Yes, the Z does have some deficiencies making it hard to launch, but there is simply no excuse for a bad driver. >It's not right to generalize that launching techniques will eliminate wheel hop IMHO.
